GADANO GENERAL TRADING CO. Ltd was established in 2013 as a family business with a handful of trucks. On recognizing the need to fill a void in the bulk haulage industry of East Africa, the directors of the company embarked upon an ambitious and progressive growth plan with determination and a focused vision.
Today, the company is a formidable force with, undisputedly, the largest fleet within the East African region, territorial presence in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and south Sudan covering over 40 million kilometers annually with over 66 trucks and employing over 95 dedicated and committed individuals. This remarkable growth is no phenomenon, but sheer hard work, commitment and calculated planning on the part of the directors and a team of professional managers.
The core business of the company comprises of local and cross- border of general merchandise, Building Material, various minerals and petroleum products for a selected but reputable and loyal clientele. The company’s headquarter is in Nairobi with branch offices in Mombasa, Malaba and Juba South Sudan.
Fleet Management & Safety Compliance
All trucks are fitted with ultra-modern global positioning systems (GPS). The purpose of these installations was to ensure effective fleet management by enforcing safe driving practices of our drivers who, we believe, to be the company’s “goodwill/ brand ambassadors”. In addition, all different fleets are supervised by small pick-up vehicles manned by escort leaders and support crew comprising of mechanics and helpers. The function of these road patrol vehicles is to ensure safety compliances on designated routes.
Furthermore, other equipment’s such as speed guns and breathalyzers (alcohol testers) are also utilized during such inspections.
